Dolphin mating and birthing observed on many cruises. See the most respected aquatic mammal in it's natural habitat. Breathtaking views are all around you on this tour. Our large viewing areas offer everyone a good spot. Each vessel is covered for sun protection with a restroom on board and Coast Guard inspected. Our crews are usually native to the Outer Banks. • Pelican Island Cruise Bird Watch departs from Wanchese Harbor. You will see commercial fishermen and women working in 
Pamlico sound, the Bodie Island Lighthouse from the soundside, Duck Island hunting lodge, built around 1920, several Osprey (fish hawk) nests, probably a dolphin or two, Pelican Island, home to over 4,000 birds of several varieties, and much more. Available as private charter.
• Shrimping-Crabbing Cruise We pull a small commercial type shrimp net behind the boat and passengers get to sort the catch and examine the fish, shrimp, crabs, etc., than is harvested. Passengers sort the catch keeping all the fish shrimp and crabs of legal size to take home. A fantastic hands-on experience for everyone. Learn about the three types of crabs harvested.
