Dolphin Tour Cruises 

Join Captain Jamie Wescott aboard The Captain Johnny for a Guaranteed Dolphin Watch cruise in protected waters (tours do not go into the ocean). Dolphin tours available from May – October.  Tickets sold in advance by phone with a credit card to guarantee. Please call for current schedule. Times are subject to change with the season.

  • Morning Dolphin Watch: 8:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. ($38 Adult, $22 Children 12 and younger, $10 Under 18 months)
  • Afternoon Dolphin Watch: 1:30 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. ($38 Adult, $22 Children 12 and younger, $10 Under 18 months)
  • Sunset Dolphin Watch: Call for times! ($40 Adult, $27 Children 12 and younger, $10 Under 18 months)

Groups

School groups, business groups, families and friends are welcome to enjoy the sights of the Outer Banks aboard The Captain Johnny. One teacher stated that she thought the children learned more about nature on our two hour cruise than they do during a week of school… AND we do not give exams.

    Fantastic experience! Fantastic dolphin watching! Took off from the most adorable downtown area on Roanoke, easy to find and free parking. Saw dolphins basically right away! And SO MANY!     Loved this dolphin tour!! What an incredible experience!! Not only did we see multiple dolphin pods but we got to see a few babies as well!! The captain and crew were very knowledgeable and answered all of my husbands questions (and he had many mind you). You could tell they enjoy what they do!     A wonderful dolphin cruise Capt Johnny's Dolphin Tours did a great job! The captain was very friendly and informative. We saw so many dolphins that we lost count! Dolphins from beginning to end!!     Tons and Tons of dolphins Within 20 minutes we encountered a pod of 50-60 dolphins! Cpt Jamie said it’s unusual to see such a large pod together but not rare. Lots of helpful information about local marine life, fairly calm water and decent weather! Really enjoyed seeing so many dolphins up close. And for such a long time. Worth every penny.
